Marysville, OH ~ My photo friend and I ventured to the country one cool autumn evening to practice our off camera flash (OCF) skills. We took some of our kids to model for us. I use that term loosely, because as soon as we hit the field, my girl wanted to run free and far, far away from the camera and lights. Then, her girls followed suit. I still managed to get a few shots of them (mostly without OCF).
The sun was setting quickly, so we moved around the bend to one of the covered bridges that dot our countryside. I really have to remember to pack my sandbags to hold my light stand in place. The wind has knocked that thing over twice and I was leery about using it this night as well. So, I practiced my sunset shots instead.
This time of year puts me in the creative spirit and I’m glad I got to shoot in this gorgeous light with my new friend, her girls and mine as well. Let’s do it again soon!!
