Be forewarned, this will be a long post. I couldn’t pick just a few favorites from this session, so I’m showing them all! My photo friend, Erica, and I have been patiently waiting for daylight saving to happen so we can get our precious hour of light back. Trust me, the light between 6:00 and 8:00 is worth the wait. As soon as we got our first mild evening, we, along with her daughter, went for a walk around a few of our favorite urban locations.
Here’s my take on the evening:
We started uptown and shot against church doors, alleys, old doors, and storefronts.
She loves her “Chucks”…
This shot was so beautifully backlit.
Once the sun started to set a little more, we moved a few blocks over to an old lot near a steel plant. There are so many textures in this lot and we used them all!
Did I mention she loves her “Chucks”? How can you not photograph these shoes?!
Katie, you are so beautiful and fun to be around. You have such grace at such a young age.
Let’s do this again, soon!!!

Awesome Jeri! I will have to show Katie tomorrow. I have been working on mine as well but got side tracked by updating my site and working on the studio. Maybe this weekend I will finish up and blog. So glad we took advantage of that warm night. The flurries and cold suck. Talk to you soon!
